WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LOVE HOLISTICALLY?

To love holistically is to view yourself and your partner as a whole person—mind, body, and soul. It means that you care not only for their physical needs but their emotional and spiritual needs as well. A holistic approach to love involves tending to all aspects of your partner’s well-being so they feel seen, heard, and cared for. This type of love goes beyond the initial feelings of infatuation and lasts a lifetime. At the same time, you’re on top of your well-being in all aspects of your life.

MENTAL WELL-BEING

When you think about love holistically, you recognize it is not just an emotion or feeling; you achieve love through action. You express your love through words and deeds. You show your love by being present for another person, by being supportive and understanding. Take the time to listen to your partner when they are speaking to you. Show them you care about them and their feelings. This will go much further than simply saying, “I love you.”

PHYSICAL WELL-BEING

A holistic approach to love also considers the physical aspects of love. Physical touch is one of the most important ways to connect with another person. Human beings crave touch. You need it to feel loved and connected. Hug your partner, hold their hand, and kiss them when you greet them or say goodbye in the morning.
